Disney World |
I live beside (or at, depending on when you ask me) the Walt Disney World theme parks. My annual pass lets me drop by for an hour here or an evening there, whenever I'm in the mood to ride a certain ride or dine at a certain restaurant or visit a certain shop. A friend once declared that I treat Walt Disney World as if it were my local suburban mall to go hang out at. I s'pose that's not far from the truth.
Just after Christmas 2003, I went on two behind-the-scenes park tours. Cameras were prohibited. Notepads were not, so I wrote down everything the tourguides said and typed it up afterwards.
(Other people have written up tour reports too; I found a bunch of them online at AllEars.Net. There's also a good collection of park facts and park Hidden Mickeys at HiddenMickeys.org.)
I found a terribly-done transcript of Epcot's Mission: SPACE ride, and then I found a recording of the ride itself, so I cleaned up the transcript.
Lots of times when I listen to the area music in Future World it seems familiar to me, so I dropped by Guest Relations at Epcot and asked whether they have a list of the music that's used. Turns out they have a thirteen-page handout listing ALL of the music that's used everywhere in the park! And it was too interesting to keep to myself, so I scanned it and put it online. It's outdated; it lists Horizons, but that's okay, since I miss Horizons.
Jason pointed out to me that all of the music played in The Land has either 'sun' or 'moon' in the title.
